Graphic design and advertising:

My two decades of working in advertising and design have included spells in printers, advertising agencies (full time and freelance), graphic design companies and Scottish Design/Scottish Enterprise as a Project Executive (marketing/design consultant).

Many of the skills I first learned twenty years ago have become obsolete, with darkrooms and typesetters going the way of the dodo. However, my pre-Apple Mac learning gave me a solid grounding in many elements of design, which stay the same no matter how you put it together. As well as art directing and designing, I also write copy for many clients.
